PowerPoint has no built-in way to show a live web page on a slide. A hyperlink opens a browser window, and a screenshot goes out of date. Web Viewer 2.0 is an add-in that loads the live website on your slide, so you can scroll, click, and type in it during Slide Show.
Embed the website
- Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the slide. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
- Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
- Click www at the top left of the viewer.
- Paste the website's link into URL, then click Load.
Resize the viewer on the slide, then use the zoom buttons to fit the page. Web Viewer saves the URL, zoom level, and toolbar state with the presentation.
If the website blocks other apps
Many popular sites, such as YouTube, Instagram, Google Docs, and Figma, don't allow other apps to display their pages. When you load one of these sites, Web Viewer offers an alternative version that can appear on the slide. Click Load to use it.
Present the live page
- Start Slide Show. The page stays live, so you can click, scroll, and type in it.
- Use the toolbar to go back, go forward, refresh, or zoom.
- Hide the toolbar when you want more room for the page.

FAQ
Can I embed a website in PowerPoint without an add-in?
Not as a live page. PowerPoint can insert a hyperlink, a screenshot, or a video from supported sites, but it has no web page object. See how to insert a hyperlink in PowerPoint.
Why won't a website load?
Some websites block being shown inside other apps. Web Viewer offers an alternative version when one exists. If it doesn't offer one, learn why some websites block embedding.
Do people I share the presentation with need Web Viewer?
No. Colleagues can view a Web Viewer slide without installing the add-in. See how.
