How to Add a Live Poll or Quiz to PowerPoint

A ballot box with a check mark

A live poll or quiz turns listeners into participants. You can add one to PowerPoint in three ways.

Microsoft Forms

With a Microsoft 365 business or education account, click Insert > Forms to add a form or quiz to the slide. See Microsoft's Forms guide for requirements.

Your polling service's PowerPoint integration

Services such as Slido and Mentimeter offer their own PowerPoint integrations. Use them if you already run polls on that service.

Any poll or quiz website with Web Viewer

Web Viewer 2.0 loads a poll, quiz, or form page directly on the slide. Use it for services without a PowerPoint integration, or to show results next to your content.

  1. Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the slide. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
  2. Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
  3. Click www at the top left of the viewer.
  4. Paste the poll or quiz link into URL, then click Load.

Test the link before presenting, and keep the service's own link as a backup.
