Screenshots of a dashboard go out of date as soon as the numbers change. Web Viewer 2.0 loads the live dashboard on your slide, so your audience sees the latest data and you can filter it during the discussion.
Load your dashboard
- Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the slide. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
- Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
- Click www at the top left of the viewer.
- Paste the dashboard link into URL, then click Load.
Resize the viewer and use the zoom buttons so the charts fit the slide.
Dashboard tools
- Power BI: two ways to show a Power BI report.
- Tableau: present a Tableau Public dashboard.
- Google Sheets: share the sheet with Anyone with the link, or click File > Share > Publish to web. Then load the link.
- Looker Studio: select File > Embed report, turn on Enable embedding, and select Embed URL. Copy that URL and load it in Web Viewer.
- Market data: TradingView prevents other apps from embedding its ordinary chart and symbol pages. Add a TradingView chart widget to a webpage you host. Allow that page to be embedded, then load its URL in Web Viewer. Market data may be delayed.
-
Grafana: Grafana blocks embedding by default. A Grafana administrator
must set
allow_embeddingtotrue.
Before you present
- Private dashboards may require a sign-in session. Open the slide before your audience arrives and check that the dashboard loads.
- If the dashboard site blocks other apps, Web Viewer offers an alternative version when one exists. Click Load to use it.
