How to Make PowerPoint Interactive

A mouse pointer clicking

An interactive presentation lets you or your audience choose what happens next. Start with PowerPoint's built-in tools, then add live websites when you need real interaction.

Built-in PowerPoint tools

Live interactive websites

Built-in tools can only move between slides you prepared. Web Viewer 2.0 puts a live website on the slide, so you can use real interactive tools during Slide Show:

Load an interactive website

  1. Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the slide. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
  2. Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
  3. Click www at the top left of the viewer.
  4. Paste the activity's link into URL, then click Load.

If the site doesn't allow other apps to display it, Web Viewer offers an alternative version. Click Load to use it. Test each activity before presenting.
