Tableau can export views to PowerPoint as images, but those slides stop updating once exported. To present a live, interactive dashboard, load it with Web Viewer 2.0.
Present a live Tableau Public dashboard
- Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the slide. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
- Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
- Click www at the top left of the viewer.
- Paste the Tableau Public view link into URL, then click Load.
Links that start with public.tableau.com/views/ or
public.tableau.com/app/profile/ both work. Web Viewer offers Tableau's
embedded view and keeps any filters in the link. Click Load to use it.
Export a static view
In Tableau Desktop, click File > Export As PowerPoint. In Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server, click Download > PowerPoint. Each sheet becomes an image.

Can I show a Tableau Cloud or Tableau Server dashboard?
Private Tableau sites require sign-in and their own embedding settings. Test the link in Web Viewer before presenting, and contact Web Viewer support if it doesn't load.
