PowerPoint has no built-in HTML or iframe object, so you can't paste embed code onto a slide. Two add-ins fill the gap. Choose one based on where your HTML lives.
Your page is online: use Web Viewer 2.0
If the page has an https:// address,
Web Viewer 2.0 loads it on the slide like an
iframe.
- Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the slide. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
- Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
- Click www at the top left of the viewer.
- Paste the page address into URL, then click Load.
If you only have iframe embed code, copy the address inside src="...". This
works for hosted web apps, dashboards, HTML games, Streamlit apps, CodePen pens, and
GitHub Gists. If a site doesn't allow other apps to display it, Web Viewer offers an
alternative version. Click Load to use it.
You have HTML code: use HTML Viewer 365
HTML Viewer 365 renders self-contained HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that you paste into PowerPoint or Excel. It saves the source with the document, so you don't need to host the page.
Which one should I use?
- Use Web Viewer for existing websites and pages that change after you build the slide.
- Use HTML Viewer 365 for code you wrote or generated, such as a chart, an animation, or a small interactive widget.
