No. CAD files render locally in your browser and are not uploaded to external servers. This helps you meet strict security requirements, including those in regulated industries. Can I use it with multiple SharePoint sites?

Yes. During setup, you decide whether CAD Viewer should be available everywhere or only on selected SharePoint sites.

Can CAD Viewer handle large CAD files?

CAD Viewer handles many large DWGs, with object count and drawing complexity mattering more than MB size. Files below roughly 200 MB can remain responsive when object count stays lower. Files approaching 256 MB may not open, depending on how the DWG was saved. If you need support for files near this size or around 2,000,000 objects, contact us and we'll help find a solution.
