No. CAD files render locally in the user's browser and are not uploaded to external servers. This helps teams meet strict security requirements, including customers in regulated industries. Can CAD Viewer handle large CAD files?

It depends what you mean by large. In our testing, object count and drawing complexity mattered more than file size alone. Files below 100 MB with around 100,000 objects or fewer opened smoothly. Files approaching 1 million objects loaded more slowly, while files near 2 million objects or 256 MB did not always open. For details, see our full CAD file-size guide.
