This policy explains what CAD Viewer for SharePoint collects, why we use it, and how we
protect it. It covers the SharePoint extension and Teams channel tab.
What account and usage data does CAD Viewer for SharePoint collect?
SharePoint provides your work email address. We use it to identify your account, apply usage
limits, verify license access, and provide support.
We store:
Your work email address
The date we created your product record and the installed add-in version

Your automatic file-opening preference for the Teams channel tab

those addresses with the license assignments.
Does CAD Viewer for SharePoint upload CAD files to your servers?
No. Your browser downloads the selected file directly from SharePoint and renders it
locally. The file does not pass through or remain on our servers.
The Teams channel tab follows the same process for CAD files in the channel’s
SharePoint folder. When you create an export, your browser downloads it to your device or
saves it directly to SharePoint.
Why does CAD Viewer for SharePoint need SharePoint access?
CAD Viewer for SharePoint uses your existing SharePoint permissions to:
List supported CAD files in the current library or Teams channel folder
Read the file you choose to render
Save an export to SharePoint when you choose that destination
CAD Viewer for SharePoint does not grant access to files you cannot already access.

The full SharePoint page URL where the error occurred
The error message and recent technical events, including a file or folder name when it
relates to the error
