Excel has no built-in object for showing a live web page on a worksheet. Web Viewer 2.0 is a content add-in that places a live website on the sheet, next to your data.
To import web data into cells instead, use Data > From Web.
Embed the website
- Insert Web Viewer 2.0 on the worksheet. New to add-ins? Follow how to install an Office add-in.
- Sign in when Web Viewer asks.
- Click www at the top left of the viewer.
- Paste the website's link into URL, then click Load.
Drag the viewer's edges to resize it, and move it next to your data.
What to embed in Excel
- Instructions or documentation next to a template.
- A live dashboard or report beside its source data.
- A map or a YouTube video. The linked guides use PowerPoint, and the steps are the same in Excel.
FAQ
Can I use an iframe in Excel?
Excel has no iframe object. Copy the address inside the iframe's
src="..." and load it in Web Viewer.
Why won't a website load?
Some websites block being shown inside other apps. Web Viewer offers an alternative version when one exists. If it doesn't offer one, learn why some websites block embedding.
