This policy explains what HTML Viewer 365 collects, why we use it, and how we protect it.
What account and usage data does HTML Viewer 365 collect?
Microsoft provides your work email address when you sign in. We use it to identify your
account, verify trial and license access, and provide support.
We store:
Your work email address, Office display language, Office host, and Office platform
The date HTML Viewer 365 created your account
Your first and most recent usage dates and total usage count
Your trial or license status
Where does HTML Viewer 365 store and render my HTML?
HTML Viewer 365 stores the HTML source and toolbar preference in the Office file’s
document settings. The add-in renders HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a sandboxed frame. The
frame does not receive direct access to the add-in’s account session or Office
document APIs. Our servers do not store the HTML source or rendered output.
What happens when my HTML or JavaScript contacts an external website?
Your HTML or JavaScript can request resources and send data directly to external websites.
For example, an image, stylesheet, script, or JavaScript network request contacts the named
website. The website receives standard request data and any content your code sends. Its
privacy policy applies to that request. Only run code you trust.
What diagnostic and support data does HTML Viewer 365 collect?
When HTML Viewer 365 encounters an error, Sentry receives a diagnostic event so we can
investigate and fix the problem. The event includes:
Your work email address
The browser, operating system, app version, and add-in page where the error occurred
The error message and recent technical events
